Later 19th century. Single storey with attic, cottage ornee. Ashlar with lighter pinnings. Ball and spike finials to gables.
NW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central gabled timber porch; elaborate timber bargeboards; Jacobean style brackets; timber door; bipartite letterbox fanlight; flanking bipartite windows. Single round-arched windows aligned above at attic in gabled dormers; bipartite window to modern flat-roofed dormer linking gables.
4- and 6-lying pane glazing in timber sash and case windows (plate glass to modern attic link). Grey slate roof; timber eaves course; coped gablehead stacks; circular and polygonal cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
BOUNDARY WALL, GATEPIERS AND POSTBOX: coped boundary wall enclosing site; single gatepier to right of vehicular entrance to left; wall-mounted postbox to wall to outer right.
With Nos 1 and 2, 3 and 4 (see separate list descriptions) this house forms a crescent overlooking St John the Baptist's Tower (see separate list description). Of particular note are the round-arched windows at attic and the ornate timber porch (see also adjacent No 4).
