Description

1892 J Graham Fairley. Victorian Renaissance with French
and American characteristics. Single-storey with 2-storey
and attic corner pavilion. Library wing 4-bay, left-hand
bay wide-arched entrance feature with recessed door,
3 four-light mullioned and transomed windows on right with
arched features at 2 central lights, slated roof with deep
plain parapets ogee-roofed ventilator and aedicular pediment
gable over right hand bay. Corner pavilion to left of
entrance, 2 storey and attic containing custodian's house,
entered by 2-storey semi-octagonal porch with pedimented
doorpiece on W elevation. S front 2 two-light mullioned and
double transomed ground floor windows, 1st floor 3 window,
outer 2 pedimented, centre arched and key blocked with small
corbelled balcony. Shaped pedimented dormer over in tall
pavilion roof, big stack on W flank with pedimented panel.
