Description

Mid Victorian, with later additions and alterations. Large

detached villa. 2-storey and basement, symmetrical E front

with ground floor canted bays and centre coupled pilastered

doorpiece, 3 bipartites above with bargeboarded gables over

outer bays. Broad eaves, slated roof. Parallel wings at rear, semi-circular basement outshot with circular windows at

basement level on N, single-storey and basement NW wing with

balustraded parapet. Monolith gatepiers with sculptured

eagles over, curved wing walls with footgates (one now

extension to lodge) and single-storey lodge rubble-built with low-pitched slated roof.
