Description

Circa 1904/5. 2-storey asymmetrical detached mansionhouse
with modern movement features, harled and whitewashed
slightly oversailing 1st floor, tiled roof, main section with
bell cast. Right-hand section of entrance front has gable of
slight projection containing entrance hall and stair, Roman
Doric columned porch with bell cas, piend roof on left,
balanced by chimney shaft and canted bay with plain parapet
to the right of tall right-of-centre staircase window.
Interesting interior work, simple treatment of Salmon and
Gillespie - C R Mackintosh derivation; stair-hall with
segmentally arched ingleneuk under 2nd flight, beamed
ceilings, some interesting chimney-pieces one with
Mackintosh-style leaded glass overmantel cabinet.
