Description

Circa 1820. Single storey, W facing 3-bay cottage. Tooled
rubble frontage with contrasting painted joints and
painted ashlar dressings, harl pointed rubble gable and
rear.
Centre entrance with simple panelled and pilastered
doorpiece with worn date carved on lintel. Regular 3-bay
rear fenestration with small centre window: 12-pane glazing.
Heightened (N) coped end stacks; local slate roof to
frontage, corrugated asbestos at rear.

Statement of Interest

Panelled doorpiece characteristic of Buckpool and Yardie;

others in Buckpool dated variously between 1812 and 1839.
