Mid to later 19th century. 3-storey, 4-bay clasically detailed tenement with shops at ground, in irregular terrace. Dressed ashlar with architraved openings, cornice above shop at ground, 1st floor cill course and mutuled eaves cornice.
N (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: recessed round-headed tenement door with mask keystone slightly to right of centre, part-glazed and with radial fanlight, flanking fluted Ionic pilasters with composite capitals; shop window to right, deeply recessed shop door with plate glass fanlight and pilaster to outer right, decorative tile panel on return jamb, modern shop front to left, pilaster to outer left. Regular 4-bay fenestration to both floors above, pediments to 1st floor windows.
Plate glass glazing in timber sash and case windows with external secondary windows at 1st floor, modern top opening (aluminium) windows at 2nd floor. Grey slates. Coped ashlar skews and broad cavetto coped ashlar stacks with some cans, cast-iron downpipes with decorative rainwater hoppers.
COMMON CLOSE: dado of glazed tiles with embossed frieze and moulded dado rail.
