Description

Circa 1900 refacing of probably early 19th century property
in Arts and Crafts style. 3-storey shop and house. Polished
ashlar. 3 buttresses capped with finials divide front into
wide gabled left bay and narrow right.
Ground floor wide bay filled by timber arcaded shopfront with
blue glazed brick stall risers capped by white marble of
display slab continued from inside.
House door at right. Continuous moulded frieze and cornice
over ground floor. Upper windows all with splayed cills:
1st floor at left tripartite; 2nd floor at left corniced.
Moulded eaves band rises to sharp gable with 1 step over wide
bay. Slate roof with straight skews and brick end stacks.

Earlier work can be seen at rear.

Copper lettering on fascia, and contemporary tiles in shop.
