Description

P M Barnett, engineer, 1884-6. 8 arched railway viaduct.
Bullfaced rubble, attic dressings. Rusticated ashlar arch
rings with brick arch supported by tall bullfaced piers.
Ashlar band course and cope to parapet.
Length: 613'.
Height of arches: 78'.

Statement of Interest

Constructed for the Great North of Scotland Railway. Route

skirting Cullen House necessitated by the refusal of Seafield

Estates to allow railway track to encroach on policies.

Railway now closed.
