Description

Dated 1893 over right hand ground floor window. Large villa,

2 storey, stugged coursers with ashlar dressing. 3-bay front,

left bay advanced with piended roof, modern ground floor

tripartite, 1st floor bipartite; centre bay, door with

bracketed hood, banded fish scale roof in angle, single

light window and panelled apron over; right bay has shallow

corniced rectangular tripartite rising to bipartite first

floor with piended dormer-head above eaves. Piended slated

roof with eaves boarding, tiled crest and end stacks. Shallow

U-plan to rear, with shaped stacks, pebble-dashed.

Single-storey addition. Shared gothic gate piers and wall to

Bonnygate with Bonnygate Church. Tall rubble boundary wall with semi-circular cope.

Listed for group value with St John's and Bonnygate Churches.
