Description

A Marshall Mackenzie, 1920. Grey granite ashlar war memorial.
Shaped plinth on stepped base supporting tapering pilaster
decorated with single simple bronze wreath and with corniced
capital supporting bronze cross flanked by 2 bronze angles.
Plinth decorated with stylised bronze laurel leaves, inscribed
with names of fallen in 1914-18 war. Later inscriptions
record 1939-45 dead.
Garden site fronted by low coped rubble wall with spearhead
railings; pair simple bull-flight steps lead to memorial.
Gates with plaques dated 1914-1918 and 1939-45.
