Description

Mid 19th century. Terrace of 2-storey, 3-bay houses. Harled
sandstone rubble. Raised margins and hoodmoulds to ground
floor windows and doors.
Central bay with panelled door and fanlight and flanking
window to right. Mullioned bipartite at ground and 1st floor
to left and above pend. Arched carriage pends with double roll
mouldings in right bays of 4, 6 and 8, leading to courtyards.
Lying-pane glazing pattern. Slated roofs; brick stacks.
Gabletted copings, skewputts.
VARIATIONS:
NO. 2: No central 1st floor window, minimal stack;
intercepted to right by door of No 1 Victoria Street.
NO. 3: upper bipartite blind.
NOS. 4-5A: painted brick construction central bipartite and
door blind.
NO. 9: 2 piended, slated dormers; rusticated quoins.
