Description

J T Rochead, architect. Built circa 1853. Round-arched and
rope-moulded gateway to West Bridgend, flanked by blind slits
and conical-roofed round turrets; coping raised over central
panel. 3 wooden gates. Crenellated boundary wall to West
Bridgend (continued north and south later in century). North
and South garden walls stepped to slope; gateway to Helenslee
Road has dummy gun ports and no gatepiers. All squared rubble
with ashlar dressings.
