Description

Dated 1720, but remodelled in later 18th century. Single storey 3 by 2-bay cottage, rubble-built with ashlar margins. Centre bowed bay; door altered to window. Datestone relocated to E elevation. Later rear extensions removed but wall left partly open.

Steep piended swept slate roof with overhanging eaves. Reslated except bow in later 19th century. Twin stacks rebuilt in brick.

Statement of Interest

Formerly a dwelling house owned by Claverhouse Bleachfield. Empty, windows boarded and roof damaged (1988).
