Description

Possibly designed by George Mathewson before his death in
1853.
Dated 1854 2-storey coursed rubble Jacobean cottage.
Central chamfered doorway, corbel course carrying dated
stepped parapet with cross finial. Slightly advanced
steeply pitched bell-cast gables to each side, ground
floor hood moulded bipartites in margins, smaller depressed
arched 1st floor windows, lozenges over. Skewed gables
corbelled out at eaves level. Slate roofs. Gable end stacks.
Original sash and case windows, 32-pane at ground, 12-pane
at 1st floor.
