Description

W G Lamond 1905. Semi-detached Arts and Crafts single-storey bungalow. Red rock-faced rubble with battered base.

W elevation symmetrical. Central twin gabled advanced timber mullioned and transomed bays. Harled tympanum. Square turrets with curvilinear parapet and stamen finial flanking gables. Door recessed beneath overhanging eaves. Slit windows. Tall tapered wallhead stacks. Projecting angle pavilions, 3-light to front and to side with ogee roofs and stamen finial with metal spike.

Piended slate roof with tiled ridges. Original glazing pattern, with stained and leaded upper lights to transomed windows.

Interior: low ceilings, grooved wood panelling and delicate arches.

Low rock-faced rubble boundary wall. 2 pairs of battered ashlar gatepiers with domical caps, 1 missing. Art Nouveau stamen-type wrought-iron railings on rubble-built walls to garages to S.
