Description

Circa 1790-1800. 2-storey 3-bay house at end of terrace. Whitewashed rubble-built with margined windows and later porch. Windows sash and cae, later 2-pane glazing pattern. 1 altered to door.

Slate roof, skewputts; gable end stacks rebuilt in brick, E stach shared with No 15 gives evidence that the latter was originally thatched. Wrought and cast-iron railings.

Statement of Interest

Perhaps a managerial or schoolmaster's house, associated with Trottich Mill and Claverhouse Bleachfield.
