Description

Circa 1870 2-storey and attic ashlar fronted terrace,
rubble-built sides and rear.
Nos 271-287 each 2-bay, Corinthianesque columned doorpiece
to right, canted bay through both floors to left. No 289 is
3-bay, centre Corinthianesque doorpiece and flanking canted
bays. Nos 291-297 are 3-bay, centre Corinthianesque doorpiece
(removed from No 297), canted bay to left, tripartite
ground, bipartite 1st floor windows to right (arrangement
reversed at No 293). continuous cornice and blocking course,
round arched dormers throughout, except later dormer at
No 295.
Timber verandah and porch at W gable, 1 Rockfield Street.
Unfortunate modern addition at E gable.
Sash and case windows in architraves, 2-pane glazing pattern.
Slate roof. Ashlar ridge stacks.
Rubble built boundary wall with simple ashlar gatepiers.
