Description

Mid 19th century, 2-storey (with attic at King Street) Shop and flats.

Coursers, polished margins, slate roof; shopfronts rendered, lined and painted. Moulded cornice with dentils over shop; 12-pane sash and case windows at 1st floor.

FORT STREET ELEVATION: shopfront at left; recessed centre door with iron gates, flanking plate-glass windows, modern door at right; 2 windows at 1st floor; skew gable with skewputt and truncated harled gable stack at left, rubble ridge capped stack at right. Gable at right; 2 plate-glass windows, flanking Doric pilasters, cut-back canted corner at right; 2 widely spaced windows at 1st floor, band course, small off-set window at attic; skew gables with skewputts and truncated gable stack.

KING STREET ELEVATION: 2-leaf panelled door at angle, scrolled corbelling to 1st floor: 4 bays at right, 2-leaf panelled door 2nd bay from right. plate glass windows at other bays, 5 sets of paired Doric pilasters.

3 windows at 1st floor, 2 canted bays at attic, coped ridge stack at right, terracotta ridge tiles.
