Mid 18th century. Former home of Robert Burns. 3-storey
house, originally 3 bays, 2 left (W) bays added probably
late 18th century. Harled, with rendered margins; shops
at ground. Plate glass sashes above ground throughout.
Commemorative marble wall plaque and modern sign. End
stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Plaque inscribed "Robert Burns the National Poet lived in

this House on coming to Dumfries from Ellisland, 1791".
