Description

Probably Robert Burn. Built between 1806 (date of
lay-out) and 1819 (date of Wood's map). 3 terraced
houses (No 30, 5 bays with central door, others 3 bays
with door left); 2 storeys with attics and cast-iron-railed
basements; droved ashlar with pilastered doorcases,
round-arched doorways, panelled doors with decorative
fanlights. Small-paned sash windows; string at ground
floor cill level, band course between floors; cornice;
blocking course; straight skews; end stacks; slate
roof. Nos 26 and 28 have 1st floor windows with good
cast-iron balconies and cills lowered to band course
level; No 30 has aproned 1st floor windows, pedimented N
gable.
Some good interior work.
