Description

Early 19th century. 2 storeys with basement, part of
terrace. 4 (arranged 3 + 1) bays, with pend right.
Painted (ground and 1st floor contrasting) stugged ashlar
and margins. L-plan; 3 bay S flank pebble-dashed.
Pilastered doorpiece; modern glazing at ground; sash
windows at 1st floor with 12-pane glazing pattern;
margins linked to band course (eaves/lintel band 1st
floor). End axial stacks. Slate roof, piended at S.
Entrance to upper flats in re-entrant angle.

Statement of Interest

Modern cottage to rear also known at No 2 excluded from

listing. Shown on John Wood's map, 1819. Perhaps originally

single storey.
