Late 19th century. Oblong single storey housing for watertank. Cream sandstone rubble with stugged ashlar dressings. Tall openings in gableheads; steps to boarded door in W gable. 4 small square openings under eaves to each side. All openings with decorative wrought-iron grilles. Later small brick lean-to shed attached to N.
Ashlar coped skews; graduated grey slates.
INTERIOR: 6 lined concrete tanks, about 4m deep, with gangway running between them.
Built as the reservoir for the town's water supply.
