HM Office of Works, either Walter Wood Robertson or William Thomas Oldrieve, earlier 20th century. 3-bay single storey gabled post office. Squared and snecked bull-faced pink sandstone with ashlar dressings. Gabled outer bays joined by balustraded parapet. Left bay with door to left and window; doorcase with stop-roll-moulded arrises and cornice; 3-pane fanlight. Centre bay with 3 joined windows, narrow at centre with letterbox below; cornice. Door with 3-pane fanlight to right bay. Slits to gableheads.
Stone return to E; rendered gable to W. Brick range to rear.
12-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slates; crowstepped gables; small corbel skewputts. Cast-iron rainwaterheads to returns.
