Late 18th century. 2-storey terrace of 3 irregular, 3-bay
houses built on sloping ground. No 5 The Lynton Arms hotel.
Random whinstone rubble, ashlar dressings.
5 doorways at ground floor. Door off-centre to No 3,
window to left, shopfront with door to right. Doorway to
No 5 at outer left with later corbelled gabled doorpiece,
strip fanlight, 2 windows to right; earlier door to right
of centre blocked. 2 doors to No 7 at centre, windows
flanking.
Windows to each bay at 1st floor, No 3 has single
piend-roofed dormer to attic.
Sash and case windows; predominantly 12-pane glazing
pattern. No 3 with painted shutter to outer right ground
floor window.
Grey slates, ashlar coped mutual stacks. Roof to No 5
raised in piend roofed extension to rear.
No 5 formerly The Railway Hotel.
