Description

Circa 1840. Mirrored pair of 2-storey and attic 3-bay semi-detached houses. Polished cream sandstone ashlar. Base course; cill course to 1st floor, cornice and blocking course. Regular fenestration; raised architraves. Panelled doors with rectangular fanlights and cornice in outer bays. Piend-roofed canted dormer to No 215. Houses flanked by ashlar pedestrian gateways to rear areas.

Rubble end elevations with round-headed stair window at centre and pair of attic windows.

Timber sash and case glazing; plate glass to No 215, 4-pane to No 217. Grey slates; ashlar coped skews; corniced ashlar stacks; octagonal cans.

Low coped ashlar wall to front with octagonal cast-iron gatepiers to

No 215.
