Description

Early 19th century with later additions and alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay house at end of terrace. Painted bull-faced cement render, smooth for flush quoins; polished, painted block margins; harled and painted side (blank) and rear elevations. Base course, cornice.

SE (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: pilastered and corniced doorpiece; deep-set 9-panelled door to centre; semicircular plate glass fanlight and window at 1st floor above. Windows to each floor of flanking bays.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: various of later extensions; lean-to roofed 2-storey extension at centre; single storey extensions to flanking bays.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows; dormers to rear. Grey slated roof with harled apex stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994.

BOUNDARY WALLS: render with coping to front, formerly with cast-iron railings, only cast-iron gate finials in place; harled side wall to rear.

Statement of Interest

Originally part of a mirrored pair with No 24. The house first appears upon Wood's map, 1824.
