1859. 3-storey basement and attic 9-bay classical tenement with 3 main door flats. Cleaned cream sandstone, rusticated at ground, droved to basement and upper floors; polished dressings. Base course; band course above rustication; cill course to 1st floor; cornice and blocking course. Regular fenestration. Rectangular 2-pane and plate glass fanlights; steps oversailing basement recess to doors.
S (PITT STREET) ELEVATION: tenement door at centre (5th bay); main doors to 3rd, 7th and 8th bays from left. From left, canted piend-roofed dormer to 4th bay, canted flat-roofed dormers to 6th and 8th bays; skylights to rest.
W (TRAFALGAR LANE) ELEVATION: 3-storey and attic 4-bay rubble gable; irregular fenestration. Apex stack.
E ELEVATION: blank rendered gable with 2 windows at centre. Apex stack.
Rubble 7-bay rear elevation with dormers as above, pair of wallhead stacks and canted timber windows to outer bays.
12-pane timber sash and case windows; some plate glass replacements. Grey slates; coped rendered stacks; ashlar coped skews.
Cast-iron fleur-de-lys railings on saddleback ashlar base to steps and basement area.
Part of a continuous terrace with 1-19 Pitt Street (see separate listings). These streets were laid out by Robert Burn in 1808.
