Description

Early 19th century with later alterations and additions. Single storey (formerly with basement?), 3-bay classical rectangular-planned house, part of a wider terrace. Painted and droved ashlar, rubble to side elevations and rear with droved ashlar dressings; wood board extension to rear. Broad band course between ground floor level and ground level; moulded impost course at window lintel, cornice and blocking course.

W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: all openings set within segmental-arched recesses. 3 steps with original cast-iron handrails to deep-set (possibly modern) door; rectangular plate glass fanlight above, set within segmental-arched recess. Windows in flanking bays.

E (REAR) ELEVATION: wood board gabled timber extension to left of centre.

Plate glass timber sash and case windows to front elevation; 12-pane sash and case windows to rear. Piended slate roof; rubble with rendered wallhead stack to N, harled wallhead stack to S.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1994.

BOUNDARY WALLS: render with moulded coping. Tall rubble walls to rear.
