Description

Later 19th century. 4-storey, 8-bay tenement bays grouped 4-1-3 set back with front garden. Cream sandstone, front elevation with polished ashlar at ground floor, droved ashlar above, squared and snecked stugged rubble to rear. Base course; banded cill course at 1st and 3rd floor; eaves cornice with blocking course; doorways with rectangular plate glass fanlights, panelled doors and consoled cornices.

SE (FRONT) ELEVATION: doorway to common stair in bay to right of centre flanked by windows; doorways to main door flats with 2 windows to outer right and outer left. regular fenestration above.

NW (REAR) ELEVATION: stair windows to centre; single windows to remaining bays.

4-pane timber sash and case windows (lying-panes to window flanking centre doorway) to front elevation, 12-pane windows to rear. Slate roof; coped mutual stacks.

INTERIOR: stone common stair with plain cast-iron balusters and timber handrail, 6-pane fanlights to flat doors.

BOUNDARY WALL: low rendered rubble wall to front with saddleback coping, later gates and railings.
