Description

Sun Foundry, Glasgow 1907. Open square plan cast-iron
4 columns with foliated capitals carrying cusped arches with
overarch decoration angle finials and dome; dolphins at
internal angles, one missing; fonted pillar fountain by
Glenfield and Kennedy Kilmarnock.

Statement of Interest

Inscription reads, 'Erected by the people of this District to show their esteem for the memory of Dr Andrew Balfour who for thirty years took a great interest in the welfare of this village. Died 28th December 1906. Erected June 1907'. Formerly located in Whitehill Street.
