Description

1891-94, mainly by George A Lyle perhaps to elevations by
MacGibbon and Ross. Horse-shoe plan scheme of 10 4-storey
flatted blocks with small front garden areas; each block is
4-window (except for Nos 28, 29 and 21/23 Eyre Place which is
3-window) between left-hand canted bay and right-hand
rectangular tripartite bay, with channelled ground floor,
1st floor belt and cill and 3rd floor cill courses, plain
pedimentally headed architraves with stop chamfers; bays
have cornices at 1st floor level and belts above; main
cornice and slated roof. W return elevation to Eyre Place
2-window and left-hand canted bay, E return 3-window (outer
bipartite) with original ground floor shop on left.
