Description

Early 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey 2-bay house (now divided). Piended roof (possibly later) to right bay and to 2 left bays. 2 bays to right rubble, bay to left and return to Lower Gilmore Place harled. Entrance to No 48 Gilmore Place in corniced surround with blind sidelights. Tripartite windows to outer bays at 1st floor. Windows to No 3 Lower Gilmore Place asymmetrically placed; timber panelled door in corniced moulded surround.

BOUNDARY WALL: low ashlar-coped rubble wall to Gilmore Place.

Statement of Interest

Gilmore Place was built from the W towards the E. Nos 44-48, while being earlier than those to the W, are of lesser architectural interest, being constructed of poorer quality materials and having been substantially altered.
