Description

Francis W Deas 1912. Lorimerian Fenaissance single-storey
basement and attic villa attached to W. gable of late
Georgian terrace at Nos. - 15. Symmetrical front, arched
doorpiece flanked by 2-storey 1-window scrolled pedimented
features, 2-gable and square central chimney flank to
Christ Scientist Church with harled ground floor oriel
bays. Good coursers slated roof.

Statement of Interest

Designed to group with adjoining First Church of Christ

Scientist (item by Ramsay Traquair and not by Rowand

Anderson as there stated). Both Deas and Traquair were

closely associated with Lorimer.
