Description

Early 19th century with later 19th century alterations. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical, classical house with single storey wings adjoining to N and S. Cream sandstone ashlar, channelled at ground floor to principal elevation; coursed rubble sandstone to sides and rear. Deep cornice; balustraded parapet; blocking course with raised centre to single storey wings; architraves to lights in canted windows.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central doorway with panelled door and plate glass fanlight; ionic columns to corniced doorpiece; single window above; full height, 3-light canted windows to outer left and right; windows in single storey wings set in round-arched panels.

Plate glass, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; coped wallhead stacks with moulded octagonal cans.

INTERIOR: not seen 1995.

BOUNDARY WALL AND GATEPIERS: low coursed boundary wall to street; replacement railings; panelled gatepiers; low wall and railings to area.
