Description

Later 19th century. 4-storey, 7-bay, rectangular-plan plain classical tenement with ground-floor shops. Painted polished sandstone ashlar to ground floor; droved sandstone ashlar with polished dressings to upper floors. Base course; cill course to 3rd floor; cornice; architraved windows.

N (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: shouldered pend to outer left; tripartite windows to upper floors. Plate glass shop window in central bay of 3 bays to right; flanking timber panelled doors; plate glass fanlights; regular single window fenestration to all floors above. Panelled glass and timber door in central bay of shop to outer right; plate glass fanlight; flanking plate glass shop windows; regular single window fenestration to all floors above.

4-pane timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof with M-gable to E. Corniced gablehead stack to E; corniced ridge stack; coped rendered mutual stacks with No 85 Morrison Street; moulded cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods.

Later addition to Gardner's Crescent and Morrison Street scheme by R & R Dickson.
