Description

Peter L Henderson, 1883. 4-storey, 4-bay Jacobean style tenement, forming part of curving terrace. Squared and snecked sandstone with polished ashlar dressings. Base course; dividing band course above ground floor; dividing string courses above; corbelled and corniced wallhead stack to centre bay; corbelled and corniced wallhead stack to centre bay; chamfered reveals.

E ENTRANCE elevation: advanced doorpiece to doorway at centre with chamfered reveals and stylized broken pediment; deep set panelled door; plate glass fanlight. single windows in flanking bays, those at 3rd floor breaking eaves in curvilinear dormerheads with stone finials. Full-height canted windows in bays to outer left and right, breaking eaves in piend-roofs with extended crowstepped dormerheads and inset blank toilets. Plate glass sash and case windows. grey slate roof; coped mutual stacks; bracketted skewputts.

INTERIORS: not seen 1991.

Low saddleback wall to street.
