Description

Matthews and Petrie, 1857. Italianate; 3 storeys and
attic, 4 bays; ashlar, channelled at ground floor.
Modern shop front and fascia; narrow flat-headed
entrance to vaulted pend to left. Long, paired 1st floor
windows, each with shallow moulded head set in
architrave; blind balustrades; flanking pilasters.
Decorative band course linking cills of 4 segmental-headed
2nd floor windows, each with scroll ornaments at base,
moulded, lugged architraves and raised keystones; 4-pane
glazing. Bracketted cornice; balustraded parapet with
panelled centre portion. 2 segmental-headed dormers;
3-storey rear wing through pend. Corniced end stacks;
slate roof.
High rubble garden wall.
