Description

Earlier/mid 19th century. Asymmetrical 2-storey house with
2-bay frontage to Institution Road (N) and 3-bay L-plan
to W with square porch at re-entrant. Tooled ashlar to N
and W, tooled ashlar dressings; rubble flanks. Moulded
round-headed entrance to porch with single octagonal
decorated finial. Some 1st floor windows rise barely
through wallhead with finialled gablets. Canted bay
window to S gable rising to 1st floor; 2 and 4-pane
sashes; lying-pane glazing remains to N and W elevations.
Renewed ridge stack; slate roof.
Gighouse with original door to Institution Road but enlarged
opening slapped to W. Coped rubble garden
walls.
