Description

Circa 1865. Truncated terrace of tenements with 9-bay
return elevation to Baliol Street. 3 storeys over
basement; 15 bays (shallow advanced 5-bay pavilions)
polished ashlar, stonecleaned. Steps oversailing
basement to architraved and corniced doorpieces with
fanlights. All windows architraved: aproned at ground;
corniced at 1st floor. Sash windows, mostly multipane
glazing. Continuous string course at 1st and 2nd floor
cills. Eaves course; cornice; deep plain parapet. Axial
stacks, slate roofs. Cast-iron railings to basement and
steps; many damaged. 3-bay flank to 27, 29 Baliol
Street, detailed as pavilions, with paired doorpieces.
