George Smith, architect, 1845. 12-bay mid-street terrace
of 3 houses. 2 storeys, attic and basement. Polished
ashlar, partly painted. Steps oversailing basement to
architraved consoled and corniced doorpiece with
pilastered reveals and fanlight. All windows architraved
and corniced; aproned and consoled at ground. Sash
windows; mostly plate glass glazing. Eaves cornice;
balustraded parapet at No 15; blocking course at Nos 13
and 17; latter with modern dormer and mansard roof
arrangement. Axial stacks; slate roofs. Cast-iron
railings to steps and basement. No 13 with coloured
leaded glass door.
