Description

John Burnet, Son and Dick. dated 1936. School, ranges
in symmetrical lay-out, long symmetrical front both to
Albert Road and to Dixon Road, parallel, each with long
rank small-paned large windows and shallow advanced
centrepiece with doorway; mainly 2 storeys, 3 storeys to
Albert Road except wings. Red brick, with contrasting
stone entablature and dressings; stacks, centrepiece,
angles and piers of playground walls have channelled
detail; tiled roofs look original.
Detached 2-storey 2-bay pyramidal-roofed janitor's lodge
to Dixon Road is similarly detailed, but windows plate
glass sashes.
