Circa 1900. Terrace of 7 3-bay houses (Nos 50-52 2-bay) 2
storeys and basement. Polished red ashlar.
Steps oversailing basement to recessed double-leaf panelled
doors with astragalled glazed fanlight. Large consoles
support hood, glazed sidelights. Flanking door (or to right
only at Nos 50 and 52) single storey 4-light bow windows with
mullions and transoms; semi-circular slated roof with
brattishing and widely overhanging timber modillion eaves.
Recessed single light windows to 1st floor. Plate glass lower
sash 6-pane glazing pattern or leaded glass to upper sashes.
Cill strings at 1st floor; band course at eaves. Timber
modillions support deeply overhanging eaves. Skews at party
walls, axial stacks; slate roofs with tile cresting. No 54
with 2 storey 4-light bow to right rising to conical roof.
Stugged ashlar flank to Kingsborough Lane East; irregular
with 2 small lights with moulded lintels and cills. 4-light
canted oriel to 1st floor supported on timber brackets.
Stugged ashlar rear, many with canted oriels at 1st floor;
otherwise mainly bipartite sashes.
Low coped ashlar garden/retaining wall and to steps where it
supports square ashlar gate piers linked by cast-iron
railings.
