Description

1848-50, probably James Wylson. 4-storey 3-bay
warehouse with classical details. Painted rendered
walling, channelled quoins. Altered shops to ground.
Centrally emphasised symmetrical front. To 1st,
tripartite pilastered pedimented window flanked by
single lights with unusual shouldered architraves. To
2nd similarly detailed window flank consoled bipartite
with blind balcony over fronting centre 3rd windows.
3 single lights similarly architraved to 3rd. Mainly
sash and case windows, some fixed single pane, all
plate-glass glazing. Band course over each floor, cill
band to 2nd. String course at eaves, deep bracketted
eaves cornice, blocking course.
