Description

Robert Crawford, 1857-59. Long terrace of 13 2-storey
and basement houses each of 2 wide bays with 3-storey
end pavilions each with 2, 2-bay houses. Polished
ashlar, partly painted. Sash and case windows in
architraves, mainly 4-pane glazing. Each entry at head
of steps with corniced die and cast-iron parapets.
Console corniced entrance with shouldered pilasters and
fanlight. Ground floor level band course. Tripartite
windows to left of entry with panelled aprons. 1st floor
cill band, tripartite bay to left, console corniced
windows. Cornice. Balustraded parapet to lower section.
Hipped roof with 2 2-light, pedimented, pilaster-mullioned
dormers at No 33. Slate roofs.
Corniced gatepiers.
