Description

Circa 1860. 3-storey classical tenement with modern shops.
5 bays and canted corner bay to western return to Kelvinhaugh
Street. 3rd bay from E blind. Polished ashlar, side elevation
droved ashlar, rear elevation, squared rubble. All windows
sash and case in architraves; plate glass. Plain close
entrance with panelled door at No 1159 Argyle Street.
Ground floor cornice forming 1st floor cill band. 1st floor
windows bracketted and corniced; 1st bay from E on upper
floors, 2-light window with stone mullion. 2nd floor cill
band. 3 set-back dormers. Eaves cornice; parapet. Corniced
ridge stack. Slate roof. Return to Kelvinhaugh Street:
skewed gable with corniced stack; 2 attic lights.
