Description

Circa 1855. Long 2-storey over basement terrace of 3-bay
houses with 3-storey, 6-bay end tenement blocks (latter
balustraded at E) and 3 central 2-storey houses taller
than those flanking and balustrated. Ashlar, partly
painted, channelled at ground with channelled voussoirs
to basket arched door lintels. Platforms oversailing
basement areas. Band course between ground and 1st floors.
upper floor windows architraved. Eaves cornice, blocking
course to lower ranges. Mainly 4-pane glazing (No 73 with
decorative musical notation design for grilles), some
dormer windows.
Return elevations to Granville and Elderslie Streets
similar, 8 bays with tripartites in S bays and 2 N bays
blind.
