Description

Circa 1856. 4-storey classical tenement with shops at Argyle
Street and northern part of Minerva Street. Curving 12-bay
corner section with giant Corinthian pilastrade rising
through 1st and 2nd floors with independent frieze and
cornice. Polished ashlar, channelled at ground floor. Arcaded
ground floor, recessed windows with decorative glazing bars,
mainly to Minerva Street. Western bays on Argyle Street
mainly altered; westmost arched close entry remains. 5th bay
from W on Argyle Street blind below stack. Sash and case
windows in architraves, 12-pane glazing; 1st and 2nd floor
windows corniced. Eaves cornice; corniced ridge stacks.
