Circa 1860. 4-storey and attic commercial building.
Ground floor bank 1888, Sydney Mitchell and Wilson
reconstructed circa 1931, J McCallum, Edinburgh. 3 main
bays with windows arranged 2-3-2. Ashlar, marble plinth,
granite faced ground floor. Ground floor bank: incised
friezes over entrances in outer bays. Mainly T-pane
casement windows: 1st floor elliptically arched, moulded
windows; pilaster strips stopped at one-third height in
central bays rising to 3rd floor. 2nd floor shouldered
lintels, moulded cills, plain entablature; 3rd floor
moulded cils, roundheaded 2-light windows with colonette
mullions; one-half height pilaster strips in central bays.
Cornice corbelled. Pierced die parapet, gabled ramped
dormer. Slate mansard roof, raised to pavilion type in
centre with iron rail.
