Description

1857-62. 3-storey classical tenement block with basement at main front. 42 x 10 x 3 bays. Polished ashlar, channelled at ground floor, partly painted; droved ashlar basement. Ground floor cornice. 1st and 2nd floor moulded cill band; eaves cornice; parapet. All windows

4-pane sash and case in architraves, corniced and bracketted at 1st floor, corniced at 2nd floor. Slate roof.

ELEVATION TO SAUCHIEHALL STREET: 42 bays, 1st 6 bays from E advanced. Higher parapet, modillion cornice in 1st 12 bays. Alternating pilastered main door entries and architraved and corniced close entries with fanlights. Some ground floor alterations.

ELEVATION TO GRAY STREET: 10 bays, 2nd and 3rd bays from N blind. 2 architraved entries. Corniced wallhead stack, gable stack.

ELEVATION TO DERBY STREET: 3 bays. Consoled, corniced entry. End stack.
