Circa 1860. 4-storey tenement in style of Charles
Wilson, 12 x 7 x 1 unequal bays. Ground floor altered
at Nos 1055-1059. Polished ashlar, painted Nos 1053-1063
and 1st 2 return bays to Radnor Street, V-channelled
at ground floor; droved ashlar to westmost elevation
at Clayslaps Road; stugged ashlar rear elevation.
Mainly sash and case windows, plain at ground foor,
banded frieze above. Mutule cornice, axial stacks.
SAUCHIEHALL STREET ELEVATION: recessed doorway with
double-leaf timber storm doors at No 1065. 1st floor:
plain tripartite windows with stone mullions in 1st,
4th, and 8th bays from E; canted bays through full-
height in 4th and 8th bays from E; remainder of 1st floor
windows single light, on blind balconies, in architraves,
consoled and corniced with sculpted shell tympana. 2nd floor
windows repeat 1st floor pattern without tympana and console
drops. Plain 3rd floor windows.
Radnor Street elevation repeats Sauchiehall Street in reversed
bay pattern from S in 7 bays.
Tripartite corner section in recessed semi-circular bay
to Clayslaps Road. Rear elevation: leaded stairwell lights
from Sauchiehall Street elevation; mainly 12-pane glazing.
